I've spent the last week pouring through your website and it is clearly the best compilation of info on 403(b)'s on the web. You've done an amazing job covering a fairly complex topic.

I'm the parent of a first year teacher. Having helped her look at the 403(b) options available to her, I was appalled that only variable annuities were offered, with high fees and surrender charges. It's really unfortunate for districts to only offer such products to their teachers... I was pleased to find your site, and have passed it along to my daughter. Thanks for the work you do.

Kudos to you for putting out such info. I've helped my wife the teacher for years, stressing index funds and low costs investments. She's moved in and out of education jobs, and at every turn there was a local insurance agency "pre-qualified" to sell annuities (with little or no disclosure regarding high fees, mortality expenses, 12b-1 fees, etc.) What a racket.

I wanted to thank you for your website and contributions to helping teachers navigate this unknown area of educational retirement. With few resources out there your information is a source of understanding and realization for me and my wife. Dan, I especially wanted to thank you for your book Teach and Retire Rich. It was awesome, I bought it a week ago and read through it in two sittings.
